S Chand Wason's A Textbook of Business Studies for 11

A. Pilot Study Approach: Perhaps a first of its kind, this book has been brought to you after doing a pilot study of its contents. Students of varying caliber drawn from different schools have been exposed to its contents for many years. Visible improvement in their results encouraged me to bring out this book for the benefit of larger academic fraternity.

B. Case Study Approach: Plenty of topic-wise case studies, based on the requirements of CBSE/NCERT and real-life situations have been included in each and every chapter of the book. In addition, a large number of Case Studies requiring Remembering, Understanding, Applying, Analysing, Evaluating and Creating and also Quoting the line been given in each chapter.

C. In-text VSAs: Every chapter has been divided into smaller parts, each part being followed by Very Short Answer Type Questions (VSAs) along with suggested answers. It is my firm belief that these will give the following benefits to the students:

• Quick Revision

• Awareness of Possible Questions

• Better/Faster Learning

D. Quick Revision & Short Forms: For revising the entire chapter quickly, ';A Quick Revision' with Short Forms/Acronyms have been given at the end of each chapter.

E. Project Work: In line with Philosophy of ';Exceeding Excellence', I have added a distinctive feature in the form of Project Work. Two Projects have been included to enable students learn as to how to handle Project Work and prepare impressive Project Reports.
