APC ICSE Understanding Mathematics for Class 7 by ML Aggarwal

The book has been written as per the latest guidelines and in conformance to the syllabus issued by the Council for ICSE examinations (dated 23rd November, 2016). The new syllabus will be able to best meet the expectations and learning objectives of the students.

The subject matter contained in this book has been explained in a simple language and includes many examples from real life situations. Emphasis has been laid on basic facts, concepts, terms, principles and o their applications. Carefully selected example consist of detailed step-by-step solutions so that the students get prepared to tackle all the problems given in exercises.

Sailent features of the book:

1. Keeping in mind the age group of the students, the matter has been divided into sections and sub-sections so that the students can learn at their own pace.
2. All new concepts have been seveloped by class-activity method. The practical hand-on experies of these activities will enable the students to visualise and develop a deeper understanding of the concepts.
3. Results, wherever possible, have been verified by lab activity method.
4. Questions in the form of Fill in the Blanks, True/False statements and Multiple Choice Questions, given under the heating 'Mental Maths', have been added for the objective assessment of the concepts.
5. In addition to standard questions, some Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) questions have been included to enhance the analytical thinking of the students
6. Each chapter is followed by a Summary which recapitulates the new terms, concepts and results.
7. The last section 'Check Your Progress', acts as a Unt Test.
8. Model Question Papers, given at various places, will serve as means for revision and preparation for the exams.
